The Half Moon is located on the busy A619 in the Derbyshire village of Whitwell Common. Lying just north-west of Whitwell, the pub is roughly equidistant between Worksop and Barlborough on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire border, approximately 4 miles to the east of junction 30 of the M1.

Whitwell is a thriving village with strong community spirit. Although being quite a small village, it has previously held the record for most number of licensed premises per capita although now only 6 remain, including the Half Moon.

2 meals for £10 available Monday - Thursday 12-9pm, Friday and Saturday 12-6:30pm and Sunday 12-8pm. Steak Club all day every Thursday from £4.79. Senior Menu available Monday - Friday 12-6:30pm. 2 courses for £5.49 or 3 courses for £6.99.
